So, in this dream, I had ended up in some dojo with some friends of mine, and in the dojo, one of my friends were getting picked on by the best in the dojo. I, being a good friend, stood up for my friend, which caused my own humiliation. So, I walked over to him and was about ready to kick his ass, but he looked more ready to kick mind. I ended up throwing the food he was eating all over his face, ending up in his own humiliation. Then, when I sat down with the same 2 friends from earlier, and we started talking about how I stood up for him, and taught that guy some humility, when the Master of the Dojo sat down next to me. My friends asked him if he saw how awesome I was, when he told me that yes, it was pretty cool that I was standing up for my friend, but that I should be expecting a fight now, and that I shouldn't fight back... So, at this point I was pretty confused, but for some reason, I wanted to stay in this dojo, so I told him that because I respected his authority I wouldn't fight back. After that, I waited outside for him, and then I woke up...
This dream is actually pretty similar to another dream that I had once, where the same thing happened, and at the end I actually did fight back, and won, but I don't know if it would have ended up the same way with this dream, considering that this was the only time that I remember conversing with the master of the dojo...
I think this dream is trying to tell me to stand up for what I believe, regardless of who's trying to put me down. And that I should always expect retaliation, like Newton said "every action has an equal and opposite reaction." Also, I think it was saying that even if an elder says that I shouldn't fight back, that its better for me to ignore that and fight even harder for what I believe in. I think the dojo symbolized my want to become a stronger person, and the master, the people who I respect, but can lead me astray because of my rank.
